Internship – Professional Driver

More Than Driving – A Whole Lot More: Discover a Profession Where You Can Experience and Achieve So Much.

As a “pilot of the road,” your office is the driver’s seat. If you love being behind the wheel and enjoy the open road, this is the job for you.

You’ll learn not just how to handle the vehicle but also its technology, and we’ll help you get your truck driver’s license.

Your main role will be to transport goods safely and reliably to their destinations. You’ll have a lot of independence, like planning your own routes. You’ll also help with loading and unloading cargo, ensure everything is secured properly, and even take care of minor repairs when needed.

Training overview

At Michel, you’ll learn the art of freight forwarding and logistics in a family-oriented work environment and be trained as a specialist in the above-mentioned profession. In our in-house Truck + Trailer workshop, you’ll get hands-on experience with vehicle technology and learn to perform minor repairs yourself. During your training, you’ll work closely within your future professional environment while also gaining insight into the full range of tasks involved in goods movement.

At the vocational school in Kulmbach, you’ll attend block lessons covering topics such as business organization, maintaining and servicing commercial vehicles, vehicle technology, loading and transporting goods, and route planning.

General education subjects like German, social studies, English, and religion are also part of the curriculum. You’ll have the option to stay at the school’s dormitory free of charge, and we’ll even cover your meal costs.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Secondary school diploma
  • Strong organizational Skills
  • Sense of Responsibility
  • Technical understanding
  • Driver’s license: Class B
